My great great grandmother was Margaret Mary Gollan d/o Kenneth Gollan and Ann MacDonald. Mary was born in Cape Breton, Nova, Scotia, Canada about 1836. Kenneth and Ann were born in Scotland. This Gollan family eventually moved to the Lucknow area of Ontario, Canada. There Mary married John Kennedy. John was born in Portree, Isle of Skye, Scotland abt 1819. This past summer I flew to Hamilton, ON where I was met my second cousins. We drove to Thamesford and Kincardine areas of Ontario. We found original farm locations for the Kennedy and Gollan families. John and Mary are buried in the Kincardine Cemetery in Kincardine, ON.
