I was really interested to read of the Gollan family in Nairn, Scotland. My great-great grandfather was William Gollan/Gallan Stephen and apparently he owned a tweedmill in Nairn round about 1860-1890. One of their children was William Stephen (1879-1911) who married Helen Heaney from Mahara in Ireland. They moved to Glasgow, Scotland and had Agnes Gallan Stephen (who died as a child), William and Helen. William married Agnes and had my father Kenneth Stephen.
I would very much like to know if anyone knows of a Gollan marrying a Stephen in Nairn, as this will probably connect two family trees.
Apparently there are Gollan tombstones in a cemetry in Nairn.
