I wonder whether anyone has come across any reference to a Gollan female (Fanny) who ran off with a gardener (possibly coachman)-- she was probably born between 1799-1810. She married a Donald McKenzie and left Scotland with him and their baby son, Alexander, for Prince Edward Island, Canada. Does anyone have records of the Gollan family of Gollanfield from that period, to know whether there was a daughter who ran off? I'd appreciate anyone's input.
