I was looking at my 3 year old daughter's expression while I pushed her on the swing tonight and could see her Great Grandfather's smile beaming through. In that moment, I was moved to search for an internet site which was tracing the Gollan family.
My Mother (Peggy) was born Margaret Ethel Gollan in 1909 at Serpentine in Perth, Western Australia. She later changed her name to Ethel Margaret Gollan before marrying my father, Henry (Tom) van den Bok (1899 - 1977). My Mother died in 1980 at Handorf in South Australia.
Her father was Alexander (Alec) Gollan. He died in 1948.
My mother had a brother Keith and 4 sisters, Ailsa, Nancy, Betty and Judy.
I live in South Australia and would be pleased to contribute further information if it is useful to Gollan family members.
