Hi Eileen,

I am new at this, but I have noticed there is an Alexander Gollan born abt 1845 to William Gollan and Euphemia Gunn.

I am interested in finding out more about a son to Alexander also called William Gollan who was born August 5, 1872 and died in Sydney, Australia on July 24, 1898. He only had a short life, but I am fascinated by this particular William Gollan, although we have no other details about where he was born etc as yet.

My brother and I are researching our great grandfather William Campbell Gollan (b: 1873) from Falkirk, Stirling Scotland who moved out to Australia around the same time. His oldest son of 7 siblings, also William Campbell was born in 1898 and our grandfather the youngest was born in 1920.

We have gone back another 4 generations from William Campbell Gollan (b:1873) but we are wondering if there is a link in anyway between the other William Gollan who made it to Australia but only had a short life.

Regards

Paul Gollan & Stephen Gollan
