Gollans of Petty, Inverness etc

Hi all,

I am related to the Gollans of Petty, Inverness. I have a fairly decent line up until the era of Sir Alex Gollan. I have read a post below about Sir Alex Gollan (b Jan 16, 1840) and his marriage to Leonida Cordeiro. This seems more likely than the data I have showing Sir Henry Cowper Gollan KC as his son.

As far as I can make the records: Sir Alex is the youngest child of John Gollan (mother is listed as Isabella who bought the Gollansfield property in 1815 - said to have lived for some time in St Vincent, Carribean) and Margaret Logan. He has 4 other siblings, oldest brother 1. John Gilbert Gollan (b Feb 4, 1820 - d c1898 in London). 2. Isabella Gollan (b March 12, 1823 - d ?) 3. Barbara Gollan (b Sept 29, 1824 - d? married James Scott) 4. Katherine Gollan.

Hope this may assist in some way. Am interested in moving backwards from here and tying up the relations of Sir Henry Cowper Gollan KC or even moving on the Scott side if possible.

Please see the Family Tree at the following link

Many thanks
