Anyway, here is the clincher (as to if WE are connected)... Do you speak a dialect of Portuguese called "creole"(sp)?If you do, I will laugh and fall off of my chair!As I mentioned, my parents were born in Brava and came to America (GOD BLESS AMERICA!!) in the late 1950's -- I was born in 1958.For a time, I lived with my Grandmother (who NEVER, to the day she died, spoke English) so I picked up "creole" as a second language.If you are not familiar with the "lingo" it is a "sing-songy" form of proper Portuguese (thats my opinion of course).I still speak this "creole" with my aunt and cousins.I would really be curious to know if you speak it too.Then I would know that we are truely connected!
