Dear Gonnellas,
My father did research some of the Gonnella ancestors and they all do come from a small village in the Toscana, Italy called "Cornellia Anteminelli" (maybe spelled wrong) near Firenze (Florence). Around 200 years ago one jobless Gonnella stone sculture artist went to Cologne in Germany to help to build the Cologne dome church. In World War I an Adolf Gonnella flew in the German airforce and was shot down in Nazareth. Israel where still his grave is in a Soldier WW1 cementary. Adolf's younger brother was Robert flew often with his brother together and he made pictures of enemy lines. In WW2 Robert was a Military Agent for the German Army based in Paris for quite a while. Nowdays the Gonnella's reside in Duesseldorf Germany and myself in Peking China.
