Looking for Lydia Ann Gonyea (Edesse Gagner)
I have such a scant bit of info to work from to try to find my 3 gr grandmother, Lydia Ann Gonyea. She also went by Edesse Anne Gagner. She could not read or write english in the 1860 census of Clinton County, (Peru), NY. Married David Pay, abt 1843/44 who first lived in VT when he migrated from Canada. Found them in the 1850, 1860, 1870 census of Clinton Co, NY, and 1880 census of Franklin County.
I found another Lydia also in the 1850 census of Clinton County in Saranac. She was age 22 and my Lydia was listed as 26. So there are two Lydias.
With this scarce bit of info, can anyone help me make a jump to her parents and/or siblings?I would really like to find more info on my Gonyea/Gagner/Gagnier line with YOUR help.
Thank you so very much for any assistance you might be able to provide.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Narrow KAY
