Hi Aldon,

I am the person who posted that information.

I have still been unable to verify it.

It is very interesting though, that John Goodar lived for a period of time in Gates, New York which is a suburb of Rochester.

Another interesting point is that John ended up in Michigan and so did some of the offspring of Francis Goodar.

I would also love to know what the connection is to the town of Goodar, Michigan.

Can anyone locate resources about the history of Goodar, Michigan and why it was named such?
