Dave,
It is entirely possible (perhaps even probable) that I am the squirrely one.Let's think aloud about all the Whitbys in your Tree.Samuel was NOT loved and appreciated at home...In 1694 he secured a land patent to 888 acres...AWAY from Whitby. If I was Martha, this is where I would raise my family. And all of their children were born after this day.No proof that I have seen and y'all have much more of that than I have, but maybe this could be a wedding gift from John?? (It would get Samuel OUT of the house, making Anne lots easier to live with.) This is a more logical time of wedding than "abt 1700" which you have after at least two kids are born??
And I think I am jealous when I see two sets of parents fot John Goode, my program won't let me do that! (Even though I have not given up on Richard and Isabel) I have been to Cornwall and I have a rubbing of Sir John, the grandfather of Isabel Penkeville. It is in Cornwall, not Yorkshire or Berkshire.
And I WISH someone had something real to hook Thomas and Ann Garrett to.In all your writings, though, I have found nothing.Even though I do admit, it is Not proof that it isn't.
