He married second Elizabeth Jane "Janie" Hawkins, dau of Thomas Hawkins & Nancy Dycus, on 14 Jul 1795 in Rutherford Co, NC. John served with the VA Militia during the Rev War. Nancy Goode Page is directly descended from this John Goode. This family is well covered in our book, "Early Goodes of VA and Their Descendanta", Vol 1, Edward Goode of Four Mile Creek.
