Your website has some small errors concerning Robert (b. abt. 1601Dennington, Suffolk Co, England)and K(C)atherine Goodell
http://www.angelfire.com/ny4/ancestry/DeweyGoodell.htmlhttp://www.angelfire.com/ny4/ancestry/DeweyGoodell.html
Who ever first claimed that Robert and Catherine were married at Easterham, England, did sloppy research. There is no such place as Easterham. There is a East Dereham, Norfolk, England. Stan Jarvis, a professional genealogist living in England, hired by my father in the early 1960s wrote to the Vicar of East Dereham for the marriage record and was subsequently informed that marriage records went back only to 1679. So if anyone tells you that they were married at Easterham, Suffolk, England in 1629, ask them from what source did he/she acquire to come to this conclusion.
We also do not have significant evidence of Catherine's last name, since no birth, marriage, or death record has been found.
We also have no evidence that Robert brough the coat of arms to america.
Also concerning the origin of the Goodell name, there is conflicting information. Some experts say that it was a french origin.See Dr. Isaac Goodell (Texas) writings.
I would be interested in learning more about his g-grandfather from Scotland.Do you have names?
Steve
