Bennett Goodrum exact date of birth unknown but presumed to be 1860 or before since he served in the Revolutionary War. He married Sara J Garner (dau of William Garner) on June 3, 1871. Sara born about 1863 in Virginia.
Sara is buried in Warren Co. and it is assumed that Bennett is buried in the same cemetery although there is no headstone for him.
According to the Long Hunter Ancestry Bennett's patents were James Goodrum and Sally Goldsmith. No other info regarding dates or siblings at this time.
I only married into Goodrum ancestry, my husband is the descendant. His line is as follows:
Bennet Goodrum + Sara Garner > John J. Goodrum + Margery Carruthers > James Reed Goodrum + Eliza Goodrum (dau of James G) > Fountain Pitts Goodrum + Rumina Wright > Lillie Mae Goorum + Charlie M Duncan > Claude Webb Duncan + Mabel Wright > Wanda G Duncan + Jesse A Dowell > Michael K Dowell + Cheri Turner
