Goodrum Family Genealogy Forum

Abby,
we are approximately third cousins. I remember Conley, and met Forest a couple of times. It is my understanding that Forest had a very complete genealogy done of the Goodrum family, which traced it directly back to Mary Queen of Scots, among others. I have always wanted to see that genealogy.
Patsy Benton Lanwehr is my first cousin, who looks for a Mississippi 'stopover' for our Goodrums. It was always my understanding that Thomas Jefferson Goodrum, Sr., came to Texas from Tallahassee, Calhoun County, Fla., but am not 100% certain. David Goodrum has posted a line William B. Goodrum bn. 1811, Ga., mar. Mary Richards (b. Ga. 1814)then moved to Fla., 1831-32. This could hypothetically be our line, but only more research could tell. The James Goodrum mentioned by David Goodrum in his posting seems to be a different person from "James" (L.) Goodrum (since the latter's father was T.J. Goodrum), unless T.J. had a brother named Robt. B. who also named a son "James".
