Sorry to take so long. My Wm. Buck Goodrum got land in 1835 in Fla. Have picked him up in Jackson, Calhoun and Gulf Co, FL. on land records. His wife was Mary "Polly" "Dixie" Richards. Don't know parents of either. One side of family says Wm. B. and a child stayed in FL and died there. Other side says all came to TX in 1850s and parents died in TX. Wm. was not on 1860 census with Mary and children. I have not found her on 1870 census. The burial site was long ago plowed over and stones were lost. It was on "the old Hannah Place".
What county/counties were your Goodrums in
while in FL? When and where did they come to in TX? Would it help to exchange names of children? good luck, Janie
P.S.: My Wm. must have been a part of the GA Goodrums but can't connect yet.
