My grandfather's name was Nathaniel Eli Eldad Goodrum and he is the son of Dr. N.E.E. Goodrum. I have no information about his parents, but I, too, would be interested. At one time, my father had a picture of his grandparents, Dr. Goodrum and his wife. She was a full Cherokee Indian, and in this picture had long black hair. I do not know her name. My father never saw his Goodrum grandparents, they died before his birth in 1910. His grandfather was supposedly ostracised from his family for having married a Cherokee. I thought they had lived in North Carolina and moved to Tennessee after his marriage, but this may only be family legend. Good luck with your search. I would be very interested in this information, also. My father died two years ago and I wish I had asked for more information.
