Goodrum & Goodswen, Norfolk, England.

I am researching the Goodswen family from around Pulham in Norfolk. This is a very rare name, probably all one family. (many of them were wind millers, linked to the Rayson and Aldridge families). The name is subject to mis-spelling, sometimes being written GOATSUM, and also sometimes being written GOODRUM or GOODRAM.

It is unlikely that any Goodrum is written as Goodswen, but the reverse is possible. Just something to bear in mind if you find an ancestor called Goodrum

Ian Wallace.
