Karen,
Could you email me and tell me more about your Gardiner line? I found an error on the Pedigree Resource File on the LDS genealogy site. Somebody claiming that my Thomas Gardiner, born 1765 in Ireland, and married Elizabeth Downing, Bourbon County, KY was one in the same as Thomas Gardiner who married Henrietta Goodrum. I think this is in error. If you know, however, the genealogy of my Thomas Gardiner, I'd appreciate it. He and Elizabeth had 5 known children, possibly more. Their daughter Dorcas never married and left her will (in Pike County, OH) naming her four siblings. Their daughter Arlinda Gardiner Thomas (married Abraham Thomas)was my ancestor.
Thomas and Elizabeth Downings' children were Thomas, Nancy (married Samuel Parker), Isaac Wells, Arlinda and Dorcas. All but Isaac were born in KY. Isaac was born in Pike, OH. This is where the family settled.
Thanks
Janel Woodbury
