Hi Robert,

There is little doubt in my mind that we have made a common connection. I am working my wife's DICKSON line and I believe Polly L. DICKSON (m. Thomas H. GOODRUM) was the daughter of of a fellow I call Raccoon Creek John DICKSON and probably a wife, Jane WILSON. I believe but have not proven that Raccoon Creek John DICKSON of Dickson Co. TN and Dry Branch Hugh DICKSON of Dickson Co. TN (my wife's gr. gr. gr. grandfather) were brothers.

I recognize you have the name as DICKERSON and a middle initial "S" rather than "L" but those are differences we can discuss.

I'll respond by email a bit later but in the meanwhile you might go to the "DICKSON" family page at the genforum and search on "Raccoon Creek", You will find many posts I've left and it will help speed our discussion.

Thanks for resonding. I'm excited about finding the connection which may proof helpful to us both.

Best Regards...Russ James of Houston Co. TN
