I have quite a bit of information on Bennett Goodrum family. He and Sarah or Sally had ten children. I tried sending you information using wirenutl@alltel.net but it wouldn't go through.
A family of five sons and one daughter of a Goodrum family came from England and settled in Brunswick County, Va. Swem's index of Virginia lists only this one early family. The sons all served in the Revolution and received military grants except my ancestor, Bennett Goodrum. His wife stated that his records were lost in a house fire.
It is believed Bennett and his large family, his sister Martha E. married Nov. 23 1803 to Collin Adams in Greenville, Va. all
migrated to Sumner County, Tenn. Bennett did not remain long in Tennessee. He crossed into Kentucky and settled in the Goodrum settlement on each side of the Allen - Warren county line, not far from his brother Thomas in west part of Barren County, Ky.
