My understanding is, Goodrum and it's variations, Gooderham/Goodram, etc. derive from King Guthrum the Great of East Anglia. An account of King Guthrum, and his grandson, King Guthrum II, can be read in The History of the English Speaking People by Sir Winston Churchill.
