I just found that James Calvin was from Tennessee (In the 1880 census Eagle Creek Township, Gallatin County in Illinois it shows:
James C. Goolsby, age 31, born Tennessee, shows no occupation
Adeline Goolsby (wife), age 29, born Illinois, shows her as "keeping house"
Margaret Goolsby (daughter), age 6
Joseph M. Goolsby (son) , age 8
and
Amanda J. Goolsby (daughter), age 1
In the 1900 census Eagle Creek Township, Gallatin County in Illinois it shows:

Joseph Goolsby, age 25, head of household, born Illinois, January 1875
and a wife Judie C., age 21, born Illinois, November 1878

In the same 1900 census:
Calvin Goolsby, age 51, head of household, born April 1849, carpenter
Margaret (wife), age 38, born April 1862
Maggie (daughter) age11, born Dec. 1888
Charles F. (son), age 10, born Feb. 1890
John C. (son) age 3/12 (this must mean 3 months) born Feb. 1900
Barnes, Manda (this would be Amanda, daughter of James and Adeline), age 22, born Jan. 1878
and her daughter (listed as granddaughter to Calvin), Francis A. Barnes, age 3/12, born Feb. 1900.

I have a list here that I have started compiling. I still cant find James Calvin's parents or actual county of birth in Tenn.
I do have several pictures of his and Adeline's daughter Effie Isabelle (my g-grandmother)and also a John C. Goolsby born in February 1900. I also have two "Hogg" surnames listed in my notes (one being "Pearlie Hogg" possible child of Mary Alice Goolsby)

Any info you can give me would be GREATLY appreciated.
