Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

My gggggrandfather John A. Goolsby moved from Georgia with his wife Rebecca Ellis Thompson and his mother Margaret to Houston County, Texas. I'll have to look at my notes but I believe he had other brothers and sisters that moved with him.

Mary Malissa Goolsby married H. E. Sharp. She was the daugther of John and Margaret and was my ggggrandmother.

Rebecca's will is filed at the Houston County courthouse. Original land grants for the Republic of Texas are filed in Austin.

We are probably related. Do you have information to connect your Goolsbys to any of the above? I will gladly share what I have found on the Goolsbys.
