Is anyone out there related to Robert and Judith Goolsby, shown in the 1870 Census of Jackson Co., TN, District 15, P. O. Granville, page #277, house #19 (Robert Goolsby, 61, farmer, born VA; wife Judith, 55, born VA; son Lindorf (?), 32, born VA; son John F., 22, born VA; enumerated with a William Stratton, 10, born TN in the household)? I am trying to find the connection between these Goolsbys and William Stratton, as William was my great-grandfather. I do know that William Stratton's parents (Hartwell Stratton and Mary Ann Kirby Stratton divorced just before William's birth, with Hartwell then moving to Missouri and Mary Ann remaining behind, remarrying, and dying within the year (1860). But who are these Goolsby's that William went to live with in 1870? William had two sisters, but I cannot find them after 1860. Any ideas?
