Here's another piece of the puzzle. I have a Nancy C Goolsby married 5/16/1807 in Albemarle County to Thomas Adams born Goochland County. The marriage bond was given by Thomas Adams and Nicholas Goolsby to "William H Cabell, Governor or Chief Magistrate of the Commonwealth of Virginia." Witnessed by Nicholas Goolsby and Isham Goolsby. Nancy's father's name is given as Thomas.

Nancy and Thomas had two children (maybe more); the oldest was a daughter named Ann Caswell (Nancy) Adams which makes me wonder if Nancy C Goolsby's middle name was Caswell.

Anne Leyden
