Your information is pretty close to what I have. I have Zachariah S. Goolsby's wife as having the maiden name of Cooper, and I have Nathaniel as being their second son born in 1846 instead of 1840. Other than that we match pretty well.
I understand your line comes down through Josiah, but do you happen to have any other information on Zachariah's son, Charles Daniel Goolsby? He is my GG Grandfather. I understand his first marriage was to Emily Amanda Anthony-Scott. They apparently had three children together before Emily died. The third child, Samuel is my Great Grandfather. Records show Samuel's birth as Feb. 24, 1871 and Emily's death as Feb. 21, 1871. As you can see, this is impossible, so I am trying to find out if these dates were recorded wrong and that possibly Emily died in childbirth with Samuel. After Emily's death, census records show some of their children living with her parents and Samuel living with Charles' mother. Census records also show that after Emily's death, Charles apparently moved to another county, married Missouri Ann Turner, and had 6 more children from this marriage.
If you happen to know anything else about Charles Daniel Goolsby and his son Samuel that might help me please let me know.
I really appreciate the time you've take to share the info you have. Thanks.
