Well right now its an educated guess. I'm still elimating other possibilities.

I find a George Dunaway in Barbour County Alabama (Columbus/Phenix City area) in 1860. His birth matches up to our George. I cant find any other Georges born in Ga or surrounding States with a close birthday. I'm still working on this. I find a Mary Dunaway on the census with him. She is on a Census in 1880 (Barbour County, Al) with her parents (Alfred MCgee)as a widow. I havent found her in 1870 yet. There were no children for her listed. I think George may have died in the Civil war. I'm looking into this next.

Alfred Mcgee(also Mcghee)was in central Ga in the 1830's & 1840's.
