No way except tax records, land records, probate records....The bishop's transcripts.....
I searching the line of Peter Goos(e)man who was born in 1837 in Denmark and died 1908 in Montcalm County, Michigan. Peter's death record indicates his father was John Goosman. A John Gooseman was born in Hanou? per the federal census of 1860 in Lebanon, St. Clair County, Illinois. David Abernathy's Genforum post indicated Hoirup, Denmark for a birth place of spouse (message 21). Another post says John, born 1802, married Rachel Brown. Yet another has John born 1795 in Germany married Margaret Brown.

I seek your guidance do you known of a Peter, born 1837 or John, born uncertain date probably Denmark? I appreciate your assistance.
