I am also looking into the genealogy of my great grandmother. Her name was Laura Isabelle Gordon/Gorden. It is said she is the daughter of a John Gorden a Pvt. Co. 1-210 in the Civil War. He was a soldier at Gettysburg. He was to have died in the war but dates don't match up. Her birth was 1868. She died at age 41 in 1910. She had siblings, Becky, Jinne Mae, Ida and a brother Billy. They were raised in a church orphanage until they were 18. They were each schooled with a trade. Laura being a teacher. She married an Isaac Parks. She and her husband are buried in the Reform Church Grave Yard, Clover Creek, PA. Email me at or post here.
