Yes, I have seen that Bicentennial article, but it contained some probable misinformation. It cited King and Queen Co., VA for the birthplace of some of the children, but I have found no indication that Hugh Gorden was ever in that county. It also refers to Hugh as a Revolutionary War soldier, but his contribution was beef to feed the soldiers. I'm sure that there was some kind of relationship between Hugh and John/Jordon? GORDON,but would love to have some documentation. Perhaps another family researcher can cast some light on this.
