Hi Terry, I am of GorDEN blood too, in fact the last post in is from my younger cousin Don! Anyway, I have been told from my mother that we spell our name this way becouse two GorDON brother's got in an argument so bad that they vowed never to speak again! So The one brother changed his spelling to DEN to never be associated again with the rest of the family!! Like everyone else say's, who know's, but it make's for an interesting story! I would also like to find a family crest correct to our spelling. I am in michigan and your post caught my eye! My Grandfather had a brother Named Ron, My Grandfather's name was Donald William Gorden, maybe we are related! We are all around Lansing.
