Ruth N. (Gorden) Hoffman, 86, of 13 Columbine St. was stricken ill and died suddenly at her residence on Sunday,May 16th. Her husband, Albert A. Hoffman died in 1986. She leaves a daughter, Jacki Hoffman of Newburyport; two brothers, Paul Gorden and his wife Norma of Framingham and Sidney Gordon of Cumberland,RI; a sister-in-law,Marvelie Gorden liggiaga of Tampa,FL, many nieces and nephews and her wonderful neighbors. She was predeceased by her son Bruce Hoffman and by her brother Herman Gorden of Worcester. For many years she was the medical secretary for Dr. Arthur Haddad. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Nathan J. and Anna (Aronoff) Gorden and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Temple Emanuel and was an active volunteer for Temple Emanuel and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish Healthcare Center. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 1PM TODAY,TUESDAY, MAY 18TH in B'NAI BRITH CEMETERY on ST. JOHN'S RD. in WORCESTER. Memorial Observance will be held at her residence at 13 Columbine Rd. in Worcester until 4PM. Please omit Flowers.
