I don't know the full history but my gr-grandfather came from Germany to Michigan and later settled in Decatur County Iowa. My Father-Jerry L. Gorden (Des Moines)has a complete history from this "GORDEN" path. His father died in mid 1940's and his grandfather died mid 1960's. His father's name was Earl and I don't know his grandfather's name but he had a farm in Decatur County S.W. of Davis City. The other sons of the grandfather are still alive. One is Chet who lives in Lamoni and the other is Joe who resides in Kansas City . I apologize for my lack of knowledge of this history but I will ask my father to attempt to send you more.
