First, Nancy Mcguire is the 1st wife; m. BG in 1791 in Virginia by Ancestry 's VA MVR db. She d. by 1834 likely in OH but I've not seen her d. sourced.
One of BG-NM's likely children is Thomas Gorsuch who is living "next to" Benjamin and Susannah in the 1850 cenus at Tuscarawas county OH. BG is clearly retired and Thomas is working the farm. T is m. with a largish family.
Second, Susanna (____) Boyer is the 2nd wife, m. in OH by 1835 or early 1836.1835 is the date that appears most often. Her surname is presently at issue, re Miller/Mueller or Lidey; in the 1880 Nebraska US-census she stated that both her parents were from "Prussia".She was b. in 1797 (tho Ancestry will show a very possibly correct bvr for 1795 for a Maryland birth; a place that S did admit to on a census, tho she usually sd "Penn."). She m (_____) Boyer abt 1815-1819 likely in Penn. The names & number of her Boyer children are at issue.
With BG, she had only a son John Gorsuch, b. Jan. 1837.He m. and had a large family.Susannah resided with him through the 1880 census; from late July 1880 likely through her death she then resided with her older son Samuel Boyer also in Nebraska.
Start with the Find-a-Grave memorials for these people and then work ALL the cesuses from 1800.However, see my next post, a top entry on the VMofB&H vol. 46 on the Gorsuch and Lovelace families. This MAY be where all the BG info comes from as it is centered on the St. Paul's Church, Baltimore co. Gorsuch family.
