Information from Origins of the Garner-Keene Family in America shows that I too descend from Elizabeth Gosnold b.1570 in Netherhall Manor, Otley, Suffolk, England d.5/5/1665 in Suffolk, and Thomas Keene. Her parents were Sir Robert Gosnold III b.1534 in Swyland, Ottely, Suffolk, and d.10/1615 in Earleshall, Otley, etc. and Ursula Naunton daughter of William Naughton and Elizabeth Wingfield. A Gosnold webpage www.bartholomew-gosnold.com says through the Naunton, the Gosnolds were connected to the de Veres (Earls of Oxford). The Wingfields and the Berties (Lords of Willoughby). Sir Robert III and Ursula were married about 1559.
I would like to know the exact relation of Bartholomew Gosnold, the English navigator who discovered Cape Cod in 1602 in addition to other accomplishments noted in the website and these ancestors.
