Dear Karen
Thank you so much for your reply it was really appreciated. On my Grandfathers side there are 2 brother who are now well in their eighties but apart from that there is only my father and myself. The line would end with me unless I have a Son (Talk about preasure hahaha) You know the issue of Otley Hall is something really close to my heart due to having years of my father complaining about his Grandfather selling the place. I honestly was disgusted to here that this rich outsider was getting richer from our heratige. Long term plans are either an outside aid is found to help with the cost of buying back the Hall (a clause in the deed states that the house is on loan and cannot be sold to anyone other then to a direct decendant of the family and that it will be sold at assessed price rather then the price wanted by the occupant) if this doesn't happen then simply the family coats of arms, family tree etc will be removed and placed in a museum as those still belong to us.
Well I have got to dash, way past my bedtime but thank you again and if you want to know anything else let me know but know this, I am young enough and determined enough to do some major alterations hahaha.
Yours
David Gosnold
