My Wife, Elizabeth Anne Roberts (nee Gosnold)and I are researching her Gosnold ancestry. Her father's line stops at a William Gosnold, Tailor of London.
Her great great grandfather: William Hubert Gosnold, Zinc Worker, born 1818-22, Marylebone married Elizabeth Greagson from Derbyshire, 25 December 1839 at Paddington Parish Church. He died 6 Jan 1874 at 38 Southampton Mews, George Street, St Pancras.
His father, William Gosnold, Tailor, born?, died? may have married Rachel Green on 18 May 1818 at St Dunstan in the West, City of London. It is perhaps likely that he was born and died outside London.
If any one has any information concerning William Gosnold, Tailor, we would be very pleased to receive it.
