My daughter is a Gosnold by birth her Great Grandfather was Arthur Albert Gosnold a brother of Herbert Gosnold, Andrew Gosnold's Great Grandfather. We have reached William Gosnold born c1799 in Heigham, Norfolk with our research and are at present making the link between William Henry and William.

William Hubert Gosnold's marriage Certificate states that his father William was a Tailor as Andrew said. The 1841 census shows that Hubert Gosnold living in Westminster with his second wife Ann is also a Tailor as is Charles Gosnold living in St Georges Hanover Square. Charles appears to be Huberts nephew and cousin of William it seems they were probably all in business together. My daughter in law remembers being told the family had relatives in Hanover Square.

I looked for Williams death in the Registers at the FRO for 1847 but could'nt find it. I did find a William Gasnold who died 2nd Qtr. 1843 in St Margarets, Westminster, was this him with his name misspelt?
