Gothbergs all over the world

I´ve become really interested in genealogy lately and especially in the american branches of my tree. I´m from Sweden. Most of my Gothbergs lived in Illinois. I´m looking for three or four brothers:
1.Johan Adolf (John) born in 1862 in Dörarp, Sweden.
2.Anders Gustaf (Andrew) born in 1864 in Dörarp, Sweden, married to Emma, they had a daughter Myrtle. Emma died in Fountain Creek Twp, Iroquois in 1947.
3.Carl Axel (Charles) born in 1867. To the US 1888. Married to Hulda. They died in Milford, IL. I think that their son Henry moved to California with two children, a son born around 1924 and a daughter. Maybe Henry had a brother Axel.
4. Otto Wilhelm born in 1875 in Hånger. To the US in 1893. Married to Matilda. Maybe moved to North Dakota.
I have found old letters from their niece Anna Svensson who went to Illinois in 1903, 15 years old. She is my grandfather's aunt and I really want to find out what happened to her and her uncles. She mentions Hoopeston, Milford, Chicago, Claytonville, Manuel in N Dakota. Battle Creek is also mentioned but I couldn´t find out who lived there. In 1920 she lived as Anna White at the address 1812 Gulick Avenue, Decatur. Maybe they moved to Goodwin after that. How should I proceed from there? I don´t really know what records to search in. Count my "maybes" in this message and you´ll understand that I need help!
Can you help me either with a connection with your trees or some help with my searching. Maybe I could help you in return with your swedish parts of your trees. I was born in Anderstorp and my father know some people there who search for Göthberg.
Would be great to hear from any of you!
