Hi, I have one of those printouts you can buy at state fairs. I don't know how accurate it is but here goes. Goucher is an English family name originally spelled Goatcher. Goatcher originally refered to someone who seemed to always have a cheerful appearance. Goatcher is compossed of two Old English components, "god" meaning "good" and "chere", derived from the Old French "cherie" meaning "face." I hope this is what you're looking for.

Travis
