The following obituary was published in the Lansing State Journal (Michigan) on August 24, 2001. I hope this information is useful to someone. My grandmother is the sister, Leora (Goucher) Smith, mentioned in the obit.

GOUCHER, LYNN D. Bath Born July 23, 1919, in Lansing; died August 22, 2001, at the age of 82. Mr. Goucher was a graduate of Eastern High School, Lansing, and was a Veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Force. He was employed as a Technician with the Michigan Education Association, retiring in 1975. Mr. Goucher was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Hazel; 1 son, Ernest L.; and 1 sister, Leora Smith. Surviving are Jackie, his wife of 57 years; 1 son, George T. (Cheryl) Goucher of Cathlamet, WA; 5 grandchildren, John, Mary, Jennifer, Tracy, and Lynn; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Raymond (Audrey) Goucher of Lansing; 1 sister, Orpha Harden of Mason; and several nieces and nephews. Per Mr. Goucher's wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family is being served by the Gorsline-Runciman Co. DeWitt Chapel, DeWitt.
