Yes there were some Gouchers who during the Revolutionary war picked the loosing side. Here is what I found
"Loyalists of the American Revolution, Vol.1, p.485 GOUCHER, JOSEPH. Went to St. John, New Brunswick, at the peace,and was a grantee of that city."
