My Grandfather, Ignacy Graczyk came to America from Imielno, Poznan, Poland in 1896. He brought his elderly parents, Anton and Josepha with him. He settled in New Braunsfel, Texas (near San Antonio) where his brother, Stanilaw was already located. He also had two sisters that came to America before him -- Rosilia, who married an Alex Szczech and Marianna, who married a Jacob Haug. My grandfather changed the spelling of his name to Gratzek, his brother Stanilaw changed the spelling of his name to Gritczek.
