Thanks Karen for the information-- yes I knew that Phyliss has passed-- there was an article in the local newspaper-- I called Helen Carr-- who is phyliss's cousin who lives in Mt Vernon, Il and she said she heard it from some one in Harrisburg Ill. She is not in good health and had been with phyliss the last time phyliss was back here and they went to Indiana I believe to look up some geneology Are you acquainted with her-- she has no e-mail but her phone # is 618 244-1456 she is my mothers cousin Her address is $1 Northbrook Mt. Vernon, Ill 62864. Where did you live in Southern Ill or do you still live here-- I live between C'dale and Murphysboro on old route 13 and of course we visited with Webb and Bess a lot. Yes I would like to have any information that you have as my grandmother was Laura Gram-- she died in Montana in 1922
Evidently she was quite a characther as she had several husbands-- in looking in the White county marriages I found where she married a man 73 years old and she was 53,!!
She had two sets of twins-- my mother was one-- she had a twin brother-- and there were two girls=--- Kathereen and Kathleen-- who had a different father then my mother and some of the rest of the children-- I was told-- Too bad I wasn't interested in family history when my mother was alive-- she died in 1953. Was good to hear from some of the Gram relatives-- if you are one.
Anna
