GRAM's from Denmark

My husband descends from Schmidt's in Denmark. The LDS site now has Scandinavian Vital Records Index. Http://familysearch.org The Schmidt's family tradition was that a man took the wife's name of Schmidt because she stood to inherit. The founding grandmother here in the states Mette Marie Matthiesen obviously did not have the Schmidt last name. Yesterday searching on her husband Jorgen Peder Jensen Schmidt on the vital records index, I was able to find JPJ's fathers name Jens Pederson GRAM. His mother was Marie Pedersdr Schmidt. I am so happy to connect. Try the search on LDS. There seems to be many Gram families.
