Henry Gram was the son of Heinrich Gram and Christiana Kendig. His stepmother was Esther Sautter.
Henry was born March 18, 1797 in Lancaster Co., Penn. He married Rachel Prindle July 13, 1820 in Tuscawaras Co., Ohio. Henry and Rachel moved to Martin co., Ohio about 1855. Rachel died August 3, 1864 . Henry married Frances Jane Eliis, a widow of George Sanders on Dec.8, 1964 in Martin Co., Indiana, where most of his family had emigrated.
Henry's children by Rachel were:
Frederick-b. May 4, 1821. Died Aug.7, 1845. Buried Tuscawaras Co., Ohio.
Elizabeth -born 1823. Married Boaz Westhafer. Became a widow during the Civil War. Was living with sister Lovina in Kansas in 1875.
Christina. born 1825-1827. Married Rudolph Westhafer. Was a widow in 1880.
Mary or Polly married William H. Barnett. Not in Martin Co., census records.
Henry Jr. born 1829-a carpenter. Living alone in Martin Co. in 1880. Served in Civil War.
Rachel b. 1831 married Joshua Westhafer but is not present as his wife in the 1860 and 1870 census.
Ester or Hester born January 22, 1833 married Henry Bussinger March 10, 1832 in Tuscawaras Co., Ohio. Married George Crane July 27, 1858 in Martin Co.
Lovina b. 1834 married James T. Laizure. They lived in Winterset, Iowa and settled in Salamanca, Cherokee Co., Kansas.
William b. 1836. Died as a young child.
John Henry b.1836-1837 married Rachel Porter. After Martin Co., he emigrated to Elk Co., Kansas.
George W. b. 1843. Died in a Confederate POW camp 1862.

Henry's children by Frances Jane Sanders were (Frances had two girls Laraby and Angelina)-
Margaret Ellen born abt. 1866. She married William Rose.
Delilah Jane born abt. 1868. She married Thomas Hotz.
