Hi Stella. Your Benjamin is the brother to my Charles. There seems to be a few of us researchers tracing back to James G. Grammer. I would love to find out the connection between our line and the Tuscaloosa AL Grammer line.

Many researchers seem to think our James G. Grammer is the son of Joseph from TN. I haven't found anything to confirm one way or the other.

My Charles has a very unusual middle name, McCloud(e). I'm not sure if it's w/ or w/o the e, but anyway....Joseph W. Grammer, the brother of Charles and Benjamin, named his son George Mc. Grammer, per the 1880 census. I suspect the middle name of George is also McCloud. Do you know of anyone researching Joseph W. Grammer or his family line?
