Looking for DNA match
I am looking for any male individual who has had their DNA analyzed for its Haplogroup and Loci sites. I had my Y DNA analyzed by Family Tree DNA, who has determined that my Haplogroup is R1a1a. Haplogroup can be explained as the area code on your telephone system.
In order to havea common ancestor the Haplogroup must match. Additionally, the separate specific Loci sites on the DNA provide the information as to how long ago two matching Haplogroup individuals shared the common ancestor.
My family name is Garner, but It is my impression that the name was anglicized prior to 1823 from another variation on the name. There is some indication that the paternal progenitor of the family was Scottish and related to the clan Donald.
The variation of the sir name are numerous, thus the examination of my Y DNA. If you have had your DNA examined and find that it is R1a1a. I would be interested in corresponding with you to determine if there is a relationship.
