Thanks for your reply.Sorry about delay in replying-have been busy with family(sister etc)
I agree about finding people researching Grande-especially with a family link-so thanks for the tip about Guiseppi.I had noticed him on the 1881 Index-and wondered!
But thought it odd because he was born in Italy whilst most of the others originate in Holborn,Clerkenwell,and Islington.My grandma(Dorothy Naomi)said that the Grande's came from Italy but,I guess, it was much earlier.I live in Nottingham,at present,-about 3hrs home to FRC/LMA-fares etc make it difficult to make too many London visits.I only started my research 18mths ago-and have concentrated on my maternal geandmothers family,so far-the Grandes and Redgewells.(Strangely,the Redgewells are a North Essex/Suffolk borders family)
